Here are Steve & Garry from Friday, November 12, 1982 as broadcast on WLS-FM. We have about 50 minutes of audio in two parts starting before 5 until the end of the show.
This is a continuation of the Veterans Day show from the day before. It contains an audio piece of Garry’s dad talking about his experience in WWII. I actually emailed Garry to make sure he still had a copy of this tape or if he would like a copy of it.
Here was his reply:
I’m glad to hear you have that broadcast where I played my father’s tape, I have the tape in storage and have been trying to locate to play on the air. Please send it to me if it isn’t included in the attachment you sent with your e-mail. Would also love to have the piece with my parents, I’m sure my daughter would get a kick out of it. Thanks for thinking of me.
Thank you again,
Garry
