One of Steve’s greatest talents has been the parody song and this one is no excepion. If you only listen to one part of this whole thing, listen through Steve’s song. It’s great!
Then there is more of the Dan and Sharon saga where Steve just rips on Dan for a good 15 minutes or so. Dan was an excellent producer for the Steve & Garry show but always seemed to find ways to get in trouble.

This 16:59 segment includes a little banter but mostly Garry’s Maui song, which is downright awful. It isn’t really really a song because Garry doesn’t sing he reads the lyrics. Garry is also drinking a Pina Collata. It does give a nice overview of the trip and is funny in some parts.

Steve & Garry Live from the Merry Mauiott (Maui Marriott). This is pretty close to the entire show from March 2, 1984 on WLS-FM. It will be posted in 7 parts. This show takes place on Friday. It is the last day of their broadcast. It turns into a bit of a drink-fest. Steve has several cocktails, gets into it with Janet a couple of times and really rips Dan (who deserves it).
I believe this was their second year taking listeners there. S&G held a contest asking couples to send a song to the show to have a chance to win a trip to go with them to Maui. The Marriott is now a timeshare.
Personally, I love Maui. I have not found a nicer place on Earth.

Steve & Garry workin’ on the weekend. Here is a air check from February 13, 1982 of a few minutes of S&G doing the Saturday shift on WLS-FM.
This is a tad out of order. Last week we posted a clip of WLS management calling Steve about an ad that Marcus allegedly placed in the SunTimes as kind of a matchmaking service for gay people. This clip has the original audio. If you want this in context, listen to this then go to the Feb, 15 post.
S&G also talk about bad weather and getting stuck in the snow along with some Paul Lynde stuff from Hollywood Squares.
