The Steve Dahl Audio Vault

Today’s post comes from July of 1980. It is Steve Dahl and Garry Meier from WLUP-FM (The Loop).

It is one of my favorites because it includes an “Acid Flashback” with Tom Campbell who did the Undercurrents Waterbeds spots. The ad always started with Tom saying “Ooo, I get “it” every night on an Undercurrents Waterbed” (“it” referring to a good nights sleep). If you were listening to rock radio in the early 80′s you probably remember the waterbed spots. Do they still have those?

Highlights from today’s post are: (11:05)

• Tom Campbell of Undercurrents Waterbeds does an acid flashback.

• Buzz is losing his hair.

• Garry is going to get his karmic payback.
